Introduction

Fleetwood, the historic Lancashire coastal town known for its proud maritime and fishing heritage, is launching an exciting new free flagship event: Fleetwood’s Food, Fish and Music Festival. 

Presented by Wyre Council, this brand-new three-day summer festival celebrates Fleetwood’s coastal identity—honouring its fishing past while showcasing the people, businesses and traditions that continue to sustain the town today. In partnership with Fleetwood Market, the town centre will be buzzing with activity, reinforcing its role as the heart of the community.

With a vibrant, family-friendly programme, the festival aims to attract visitors, to help celebrate everything Fleetwood, and make a cultural experience to remember!

The festival will feature a bustling selection of traders celebrating the very best of local and international flavours. 

Visitors can enjoy: 

  • A lively continental market 

  • Fresh fish and seafood stalls showcasing local catches 

  • A wide range of artisan food and drink 

  • Unique local products and handcrafted goods 

 

What's On

There’s something for everyone across the weekend, with a packed programme of entertainment and activities, including: 

Live music and entertainment featuring local favourites The Deadbeats and The Flat Caps 

Live cooking demonstrations from talented local chefs 

Traditional funfair for all ages 

Heritage stalls and displays, including Fleetwood Museum and its maritime collections 

From great food to fantastic music and family fun, the festival promises a lively and memorable experience throughout.

The Fish Queen Competition

A highlight of the festival will be the much-anticipated return of the historic Fish Queen competition, taking place on Friday. 

Not held since 1939, this cherished Fleetwood tradition will once again see one lucky winner crowned Fish King or Queen, bringing a beloved piece of local history back to life.
